TOPIC: Injustice
TEXTS: Prov 6:16-19
AIMS:
i. to understand the concept and basis of injustice and
ii.to discuss the impact of injustice on the masses.
INTRODUCTION
Injustice is the violation of right or denial of justice, to a person that may involve civil damage or loss and sometimes with injuries to property, interest or character.
What parts do rulers and subjects play in the practice of injustice in contemporary society? The study today will centre on factors that cause or promote injustice.
STUDY GUIDE
1. Define injustice in the context of today's text ?
2. Refer to question 1 above and say what you think is the basis for injustice in society today ?.
3. What are the contributions of citizens and rulers to the rule of injustice in society? Read Luk 23:18;
4. What is the biblical stand on injustice? Prov 12:22; 17:15; Amos 6:12-14; Matt 23:23
CONCLUSION
Unjust rulers who do not repent and turn to God will not be accepted into heaven, they will instead face God's judgment and destruction in the lake of fire (second death) with the devil and his angels
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Unjust rulers will one day face God's judgment.
