TOPIC: SET ME AS A SEAL UPON THINE HEART
TEXT: Songs of Solomon 8:5-7
5 Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee. 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. 7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

INTRODUCTION TEXT
Love is jealous and demands undivided commitment; love is strong and powerful and burns like a fire. Again, love cannot be drowned by flood and cannot be purchased with money. These are various attributes of love that should define the experience of anyone who is lost in the love of Christ. We cannot claim to love Jesus but have little or no time for Him in the place of fellowship.
We cannot be in love with Him but flout every of His command. There was never a man in love with Jesus that denied Him the pleasure of intimate relationship. He demands our all - "and thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might" (Deuteronomy 6:5); nothing short of this suffices.
Prayer: Help me dear Lord to love nothing else but you; let nothing else take your place in my life. Amen.
