1. LORD and Master, who hast called us
All our days to follow thee,
We have heard thy clear commandment
Bring the children unto me.
2. So we come to thee, the Teacher,
At my feet we kneel to pray:
We can only lead the children
when thyself shalt show the way.
3. Teach us thy most wondrous method,
As of old in Galilee
Thou didst show thy chosen servants
How to bring men unto thee.
4. Give us store of wit and wisdom,
Give us love which never tires,
Give us thine abiding patience,
Give us hope which ay inspires.
5. Mighty Wisdom of the Godhead,
Thou the one eternal Word,
Thou the Counsellor, the Teacher
Fill us with thy fullness, Lord.
